Choose Special Effects. This LucisArt 3 SE control allows you to choose from the special effects Winslow, Sculpture, Plaid 1, Plaid 2 and Plaid 3.

Winslow. Move the Smooth detail slider to the right to smooth image detail/features. The smoothing depends on the image's own relative contrasts. This creates a watercolor effect.

Sculpture. This effect enhances patterns in the image. Move the Smooth Detail slider to reveal patterns with less detail. Move the Strength control to the right to increase the contrast in the patterns.

Plaid 1-3. This effect is just like Sculpture only radial artifacts are added to add texture. Move the Strength Control to the right to increase the contrast in the patterns and in the radial artifacts.

Mix With Original Image. Use this slider to mix the LucisArt image with a percentage of the original image. This allows you to make the LucisArt processing as strong or as subtle as desired.
3 Zoom Controls.
4 Scan Lines. The Lucis Processing involves comparing each pixel to every other pixel along hundreds of radial lines called scan lines. (16 scan lines equals 1 Scan Line.) If too few Scan Lines are used, radial artifacts can be produced. Increasing the number of Scan Lines will reduce or eliminate any radial artifacts should they appear. Increasing the number of Scan Lines also increases the processing time. In LucisArt the number of Scan Lines is fixed to a high number that should mostly create images free of radial artifacts. With Lucis Pro 6.0 you may vary the number of scan lines.
